The most memorable time was not in the classroom. I asked Harold to visit my studio when working on my MFA exhibition. A critique from Harold was not for the faint of heart as he was honest. The overall experience was one filled with generosity, insight, and warmth. There was no pretense in his manner...he was genuinely interested, engaging, thoughtful. He brought with him years of experience and a genuine love for art. I've never forgotten this.
